Ines Sheer Fleece-Lined Tights

Ines is the pair I pull on when it is too cold for bare legs and too early for trousers. From the outside they read as fine black hosiery — the same clean, even sheer you would wear to dinner. On the inside they are brushed fleece, which is the whole trick: the look of tights, the warmth of a thermal.

The waistband sits high and smooth and does not roll down when you sit. The knit is dense enough that it holds its shape at the knee through a full day, so you are not pulling them up on the way to the bus. They stretch without going shiny, and they keep their colour wash after wash.

Which weight to pick

This is the only real choice, and it is about warmth, not size.

• 200 g — autumn. A thin brushed lining. Right for 5–15 °C, offices, and evenings out.
• 300 g — winter. A thicker plush lining. Right for below 5 °C and for standing around outside.

Size

One size, and it genuinely fits S to XL. The four-way stretch knit is cut to fit 40–80 kg without thinning out or sagging at the knee. Find yourself in the table below — there is nothing to choose, it is the same pair for everyone.

Over 80 kg we would rather you did not order these — the stretch is honest but it has a limit, and we would rather lose the sale than have them come back.

Care

Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle, lay flat to dry. Do not tumble dry, do not bleach, do not iron.
